Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH

Booth number: Hall 3A - H3GR17

About us

Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) designs and manufactures insulation tubes from glassfiber reinforced polymers for their worldwide renowned tapchangers for more than about 30 years.

Based on this know-how and experience it was a logical step to expand the business field insulation material and offer hollow composite insulators in MR-quality to the market. Under the brand name ReCoTec® (Reinhausen Composite Technology) a continuously growing range of hollow insulators with silicone rubber sheds for outdoor applications as well as without sheds for indoor use is available.

Due to the steady growth of the insulating materials branch, the Power Composites® business division was outsourced from the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen on August 1, 2009 and has been an independent GmbH ever since. The Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH is a 100-percent subsidiary member of the Reinhausen Group. "POWER COMPOSITES®” is a brand and registered trademark of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH for products in relation to electric insulation such as insulating tubes for high voltage applications and composite hollow insulators.

Products and services

  • Tubes made from glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin(FRP) with diametrs from 28 to 1000 mm
  • Insulation material machined from FRP tubes
  • Hollow composite insulators with silicone rubber sheds for outdoor applications
  • Hollow composite insulators without sheds for indoor applications
  • Insulated drive shafts

ROTAFIL® insulating cylinders are high-quality coiled insulating cylinders made of epoxy resins with laminate glass fiber construction in various standard qualities, which have been developed specially for use in high-voltage equipment. Various winding shafts (5°-90°) and different resin systems allow multifaceted, customized solutions to be offered.

ReCoTec® hollow composite insulators

ReCoTec® hollow composite insulators

Under the ReCoTec® (Reinhausen Composite Technology) brand name, we manufacture hollow composite insulators with silicone shielding based on our ROTAFIL® cylinders. They offer a number of advantages compared to conventional porcelain insulators. They are substantially lighter, extremely durable and earthquake-resistant. They maintain their water-repellent characteristics, and thus their excellent insulating properties, even under heavily fouled conditions. In the event of failure or external damage, they are explosion-proof and do not scatter hazardous parts. Our innovations, such as conical ReCoTec® insulators, ReCoTec® with integrated fiber-optic cables and ReCoTec® with flanges made of FRP material, help our customers expand and secure their market leadership
